Emory Neurosciences Lab + Trial Operations Core (ENL)
Last Updated: March 05, 2026

The Emory Neurosciences Lab + Trial Operations Core (ENL) serves as the clinical trials unit that supports 28 current trials across six departments: Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Neurosurgery, Neurology/Interventional Neurology, Trauma Surgery, and NeuroCritical Care. Funding for these trials is diverse, deriving from the NIH, DoD, CDC, NSF, other government agencies, industry sponsors, and non-profit organizations. The ENL serves as a hub for the Strategies to Innovate Emergency Care Clinical Trials Network (SIREN) and StrokeNet Regional Coordinating Center (RCC), both funded by NIH. Faculty and staff at ENL provide scientific leadership, oversight, and clinical coordinating efforts to lead and support multi-center clinical trials. These efforts include leading the Rapid Evacuation of Cerebral Hemorrhage (REACH) Trial + Registry to compare novel, minimally invasive surgery with the current standard of care for treating intracerebral hemorrhage in the deeper part of the brain.
